Gerhard Reinhold Kaeppner FJR6 Vet

Post by pepperpot »

i need any/all pictures of gerry for an albumn im putting together. There's some urgency for this project as Gerry has spent the last 7 weeks in hospital and Rita had to insist on taking him home as there is nothing else the hospital can do for him. Pics via email or pm, if you want to send hard copies email me for an address.
I was somewhat supprised to learn that with the exception of myself no other re enactor has been to gerry for over a year, can i ask that if you have time to go and see him or to make contact with Rita. If you have lost their phone number email me. If anyone has access to other forum(s) can ask you to cut and paste this subject. Same goes for anyone that no longer re enacts but may have pics. All help appreciated.

i have spoken to him a few times and had some great convo's with him

i got to admit ..i did not know he was in hospital still.i knew he was ill ..but thought he was at home

I met Gerhard at Beltring a few years ago, had a a great conversation with him, signed a book on the FJ too!came away with a great impression of the man, enduring the heat of high summer in uniform and kit and patiently and cheerfully taking time to talk parachuting. What a man.
