I have the Osprey book sofar .... but there must be more books about german women in WWII ....
Specially DRK in Africa ....

I believe that there is mention of the DRK/DAK in one of John Angolia's books, and a section on the DRK female EK1 award winner in particular.

I'll dig it out of my cupboard and give you the title.

Hi again, Daniela.

The book I'm referring to is called 'In the service of the Reich' by John Angolia (ISBN No. 0-912138-59-9.)

The DRK is mentioned from page 244 onwards, and Ilse Schultz in particular (decorated DAK/DRK nurse) is featured on page 270, including a very nice studio style photograph of her.

I would recommend you purchase the book as it is full of interesting and rare information. In fact, the SBG DRK section gained most of its early knowledge from this very book.

i have just bought this book from ebay in america and it is very good, lots of info on the DRK,

highly recommended
