A strange piece of equipment I found in a barn
Whilst visiting a friend yesterday in South Armagh I happened to go into the barn at the far end of the farm yard which really has not been used in years and have a look at what I found , Any ideas lol ..... more or less know what it is but have a guess

It could be a pump of some kind but I dont see any sign of hose connections which are usualy pretty obvious on pump sets, It could possibly be some sort of compressor unit, Mairtin did you get any shots of the innards and where there any data plates evident??
Always keep the boot of destiny aimed at the arse of anticipation!

Firefighters and Auxiliary Fire Service trailer pump at "emergency dam" at Aldermanbury after a German air raid on the City of London on Dec. 29, 1940. The trailer pump is numbered for Auxiliary Fire Service sub-station 55X

Spot on West front indeed it is a pump from WW2 that connects to a reservoir and used to combat the inferno from the blitz on British cities, this one was made in guildford by dennison as plate on it which I took photos of and the engine is still working as i had it working today and she humms well, just needs cleaneddown repainted and also a swervice.
Similar to the Malahide show I have photos on my camera and cant get bloody lead , met an elderly Dutch guy and his Irish wife who was telling me about knowing a guy called Paddy Hitler , just google him , his wife's older sister worked in a hotel with Paddy Hitler apparently this was Hitlers brothers son , brought me back to his garage and showed me a Kubel in a half decent state of repair that he bought in early 1950's from Dutch military still had 80 percent paint work origional on it.
I asked him if he ever wanted to get rid of it to give me first option as the vehicle was still in running order just needs some filler here and there, perhaps I might get lucky as his wife absolutely loathed the sight of it.
