just to let you all know Golly went and fetched the bike and sidecar today and he says its better than he expected.
am going over soon so will take some photos for you to see it

One of the chaps in our unit has a repro R62 combination. Its built from Ciang-Jiang, Dneipr, Ural and Cossak bits.



As with all our unit projects, it wasn't a rush job - 12 years to finish!!!

the bike itself is in fantastic condition , starts first time and runs sweet as a nut.
the sidecar needs the most work with the seat needing replacing , a fair bit of welding for me and an mg mount.
the only thing it desperately needs is a paint job, looks like the previous owner didn't have a clue about camo schemes
rest assured though it will be ready for next season

It looks like apart from the "G" for Guderian, it had a Hohenstaufen Div mark on the back fo the sidecar.....
