Unfinished M42s. cobbled together in various configurations to make wearable helmets. Sometimes post war.

i think your most probably right Herr Grink, unfinished m42's, seems to be the only plausible
explanation that i've heard so far. :D

Decals in 1945? The colour looks like that used in Norway post war.
here's another shot of the same lid in question. the pin hole is there.
i spotted this being sold as an original,refurbished with decal.decal is not original.
i don't know if these are authentic.
the name in it is not original as well.
