Yes, i can see how that comment i made can be construed as arrogant, but it was not intended to be, hence the number of question marks after it. It was just surprise that you had not heard of this author/collector in 25 years of collecting Italian camo items.Caen44 wrote:How can you research Italian Camo/Items and Not have heard of Paolo Marzetti!!!!???
That sounds arrogant for me and that´s why I gave my answer to it.
Stigroadie don´t project what I am thinking about you onto other people.
For me end of this discussion.
Best regards,
Caen44.
As for recognition for WW2 Telo tenda's, the debate rages on. I always look at the way its constructed, especially compared to the Telo Tenda tropicale, or the sand coloured variant. It is a contempoary piece, and production ceased when Italy realsied it was not going to have a colonial empire for very much longer. Its a good thing to have when looking for originals. I've also asked more learned people if i have any doubts. Nobody's perfect.

All of the wartime ones i've seen don't have metal eyelets, but sewn ones. And all Postwar ones ive seen have metal eyelets.
CDB taking it way too serious!

Isn't the zeltbahn this dead German soldier is wearing a italian one? It's in Holland late 1944.
