ANOTHER rare FJ helmet

Post by dog green 1 »

Seems to be quite a few of these popping up at the moment begging the question are they rare?

Paint looks far too fresh and the wear and tear just doesn't look natural. Also where the liner is split the leather looks very new. Even by repro paint jobs I don't think it looks that nice. Still at £1500 maybe it's a bargin.

The seller is keen not to say it is wartime or genuine - These are scams........ Repro helmets offered as decorative pieces - read the blurb..... "Would make a good display Piece"
He is not misrepresenting it - But he is cleverly trying to plant ambiguity in the reader's mind.

Straps, liner and I think the shell are all fake! Would need to see more pictures of the shell to be 100% sure. The paintwork is 100% fake regardless!!

Unless you are very, very, very sure of what you are buying eBay is not the place to throw £1500 around.
Fj stuff and British Para gear which appears on eBay comes with a risk, that risk is always "buyer beware".
