Unit Stamp Help

Post by Lehr Grenadier »

Help!
Completely and utterly stumped as to what this unit stamp is on a feldpost envelope.

Ausb. Lehrgang. Bruck. Gerat 3

Date is '10.9.43 - 8' and postmarked BREISACH

(Maybe an 'f' instead of 'k' in Bruck)
(3 may be J)

Been through most of 'Lexikon Der Wehrmacht' and other sites with no luck, any help appreciated as it's part of a collection of 15 Feldpost I've aquired, all from the same individual. So Building up a very interesting paper trail from 1941 to New Years Eve 1943 being the last letter.

Brilliant! Much appreciated, that's all the unit stamps placed now. All adressed to the same Farulein in Darmstadt. Interesting to note that the letters start off at Gefreiter, through to Unteroffizier and then finishing as Leutnant throughout the training schools/ ersatz battalions.

Starting off 18.11.41 Headquarters Company, Pioneer Replacement Battalion 26 based in Hoxter.

4 letters between 13.2.42 and 21.3.42 with only 'Feldpost' round stamp, handwritten details of sender giving feldpostnumber of 751st Pioneer Battalion. Perhaps field written, 751st Pioneer Battalion under 4th Army, Army Group Centre?

5 letters between 22.5.42 and 25.9.42 from the Pioneer Training School at Dessau-Rosslau

2 letters from 1st Company, Pioneer Replacement Battalion 6, Hannover Munden

2 letters between 10.9.43 and 22.9.43 from Bridgebuilding Course 3, Breisach

Final letter dated 31.12.43 from Panzer Pioneer Replacement Battalion 29. Hannover Munden.

Interestingly in one of the letters there is another note in different handwriting pertaining to the War Hospital Department 601. Next project is to get the sutterlin transcribed and translated..... going to take a loooong time :(
