Has anyone got any scan's or copies of German Military Sheet Music from WW2 they could post up or send me please? Now I'm not talking about the lyrics here there easy enough to get from the net, but the actual musical notes to the songs i.e. sheet music which seem impossible to find.
In particular I'm in need of the following;
Erika
Panzerlied
Westerwald
Ein Heller und ein Batzen
Do you have the composers of the songs? If yes just try going into your local music shop and ask them (musical instrument shop not HMV)? That's worked for me in the past.
Failing that do you have a German contact who can do the same but in Germany?
Hi Mark, yes I know the original composers and have found a possible source for Westerwald & Ein Heller und ein Batzen so done pretty well all ready. However Erika might prove difficult since it was originally written for the SS and banned in the current Bundy and no doubt Germany itself.
Just looking for the basic cords to each song, nothing dramatic like a full orchestral score
The only original song/music sheet I have is 'Horst Wessel'but here is two songs and notes from a KM diary which may be of interest to you.John

"I require able bodied men, with good horse and gun.
I wish none but those who desire to be actively engaged".
"Come on boys,if you want a heap of fun and to kill some yankees".
Nathan Bedford Forest.
E-mail me the mp3 tracks of the songs you have in mind, I suspect you have them downloaded somewhere.
When received I will quickly work out what key they are in, and work out the chords for you.
There a many different war time versions of these particular tracks , so I will need to know specifically which ,to ensure
you get the correct musical info.
I have the trumpet music, clainet music and drum musik for almost all the Bundesmarches and the full score for Alte kameraden (yep, all instruments) and I have the special fanfare book for the snare/drum.
got connections with the Bundesmusikmeister in Germany for the Heeresmusikkorps.
Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys, fortunately one of my German kameraden sent me all the song sheets I needed the other day. So now I've got a little project to learn over the coming winter months
