yes i think its a us thing, as for the army eagle as far as i can find only hg used the luftwaffe eagle on the gorgett, all the pics of fallshirmjager have the army one, got that book, wasnt sure it was reliable some said it was iffy, is it just that gfp bit thats wrong, as for the padded, thanks will look at a full one, its for cold and windy events mainly, am looking into an mp option at the moment but my k98 will do for now, will just swap the pouch and holster round.
thanks, keep the advice coming.

Re: Load out questions
No, not a US Army term by any stretch of the imagination. Airsoft term only. Terms commonly used: TA-50; gear; fieldgear; battle rattle; full-battle rattle. There are also many other slang terms for the components as well.
I went to Basic Combat Training (BCT) in 1988 and am a Regular Army Soldier today.
Horrido!

notice the colour its not YELLOW!! which is what most replicas are painted. its illumninescent paint and at night to prevent the gorget from acting as target practice, the user reversed it so the back was on show.

Re: Load out questions
lol, ok i used it cos at the time i couldnt think of anything better, and ye now you mention it, it does sound like that, eeeh axis history forum, I dislike that place with a passion, full of people who either know too much and make a point of letting you know and people who dont know much but like to make a point that they do know alot and try and make you seem like a tit, I had a fair few run ins with both sets of people whilst researching fallshirmjager, it seems your not allowed to make errors or mistakes when asking people for info, and the often reply is f off and do the research yourself you lazy sod, after that I gave up with the place. (sorry admins feel free to delete that if u dont like it)
