Dollman, I can't see the image you posted above but looking at its properties box I'm guessing it's this pic...



Thanks for sharing this, it's a superb image and captures the era perfectly. I think I'll have to paint someone in a similar style in the near future!

The inspiration for my original portrait was the standard studio photographs taken of servicemen during the the era. I used the one below as reference. (please note the collar/pockets and collar tab placement, RK ribbon etc).
