This may sound like a stupid question, but.... how come there aren' that many kids re-enacting?? Like most of you guys are married, have children etc and I'm just kinda... suprised that ya don't get the kiddies all dressed up. Like weren't the HJ at near the end of the war out to fight for Germany.

Like I started re-enacting when I was 8/10 something like that. I was playing the drums for King George and battling against the French

I guess lots is because of the perception of boo hiss, which some don't want their children to experience if they do HJ/BDM.

Seeing as I forgot about this post though, I now have a nice airtex shirt to go with mentioned lederhosen for short stop 8) so he's sorted for a sunny day :wink:
