Article on de-Russifying K98's?

Post by KB Martinsen »

I'm sure that there used to be a thread on here about restoring Russian captured K98's to their former glory but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Has it been deleted for some reason, or am I just looking on the wrong forum?

Cheers

It was a while ago not sure if this forum or the other one, but the man to ask is Bryn (Baggypants) as he's done a few...

It did used to be on here but after the re-vamp it seemed to disappear. I think that Shergar was the one who posted it - hopefully he can re-post it again :) (If it was him ;) )

yes i did post one indeed but there was a glitch in this and it disappeared at one stage along with other threads ,

To revamp a russian capture k98 it is a straight forward approach to breaking down the weapon and basic wood care .

if you give me to sunday i will take photos of each stage and post on the forum showing each and every screw and part in the stage if you can wait . yes and the yugo 98,s are the same as well in this process .

There was an extensive thread covering this subject on the WW2 Reeacting Forum as well.
