Just a hypothetical question: Would LW field divisions ever have worn FJ jumpboots, (they are LW after all and I know they did use some FJ gear) or without exception only ankle boots, with some jackboots mixed in?
Please don't start the whole "portray the exception not the rule" thing again, that's not what this is about....

Re: Jumpboots
There surely would be a certain amount of Ex-Falshie NCOs and Officers put in to "stiffen" FD units - so these folks would have jump boots.
But also - as there werent always enough boots for the Falshies needs - they wouldnt waste jump boots by issuing them to FD units.

Re: Jumpboots
It's probably that they could have even worn high heels, there was a lot of that about in the decadant areas of Germany.
Hanging up my Knochensack for now, it's been a good war!
Re: Jumpboots
I would say no, except for the 'Meindl' Div (20th LFD I think, which had Fj units as part of its make up).
