Kit Layout...rights and wrongs

Post by 2ad82recon »

OK i have finally got the last pieces of my field equipment from RAU at Malvern yesterday and now want to put it all together after studying various photos i have come to the conclusion that there is NO standard kit layout when at the "front".

So i need help fellas..i am putting together a Luftwaffe FD Grenadier impression and am armed with a K98..i have all the bits but now need to put it together.

any help appreciated please and pictures of assembly would be great.

Regards

Hi,

Have a look here...

http://www.mp44.nl/equipment.htm

Also look around the many living history group web-sites on the equipment page(es).

GR916
Der Erste Zug
etc etc

Not Luftwaffe but the kit layout will be basicaly the same...

Hope this helps,

Well contrary to what you might have been told and regardless of what you have seen and heard, regs. were adhered to, so stop dreaming and get the kit right!

For infantry, very common especially in 1941-1942. After that, a little less, but stilll many infantry units were issued them. For support/rear area units, not so much as they did not need them.

Hi Lloyd,

as a WL Field Division soldier, you can not use a A-frame, because the WL Y-strap Suspender has no double straps and no D-rings.
You can not connect a A-frame with the WL Y-strap Suspenders.
