New Luftwaffe Field Division group

Hi All

Myself and Jack Burtonwood are setting up a Luftwaffe Field Division, portraying the 16th Luftwaffe Field Division in Normandy 1944. This group is going to be a sideline group for people who have main impressions but want to do something different on a few weekends per year. We have had quite a bit of interest in this, if anyone fancies doing a different impression and portray an almost forgotten unit of the third reich, give either me or Jack a pm for more details.

May be an idea to put a post in reenactment groups area with a few details and some ideas of how you are going to play it. When you have some that is.

Good on you. My group portrays the 17.Luftwaffen Felddivision, 34.Jäger Regiment (L), IIBattalion, 5. Kompanie. Stationed at Bolbec, Upper Normandy, France. To defend the LeHarve sector, along with the 16.LwF.D. If you need or want any assistance or history(very little of these units),I may be able to help, With things like feldpost nummers + feldgendarme attached to your Regiment,either 31 or 32. PM me any time. I get my information direct from Germany. I have a couple of friends in the 1st Panzer Division,yes really, and one is a history professor. Paul G. 17LwF.D.

yes it is, but there are around a dozen people in uk re-enacting the German Civil War

We just had a major struggle within our KG to allow us to do an HG Gruppe within the Panzer/SPW Task Force.

We are going to write up the info for a LW FD unit for Normandy events since HG wasn't in the AO.
