Max Manus

Post by Caen44 »

Hi there,

does anyone have seen that film yet? Start in Germany is next year - February 2010 - :(
Can´t wait.

I think it will be a very good film telling the story of a real person.

???
It's out on DVD already, as I bought it last week in the "four films for £20" at HMV.... haven't watched it yet though.

Do you mean a cinema release in Germany?

I'll check my copy and see how many languages are offered in subtitles - it may have German already??

Is Germany Region 2 like UK? I assumed all of Europe was the same so stuff was released simultaneously?

Brought this last weekend and watched in Friday night....

Very good, and the end titles with the actors photos on one side and the photos of the actual people they portrayed was a nice touch.

Not bad as it goes, another one similar is "Flame and Citron" about Danish resistance,
it has a good "Butch and Sundance" type ending which is all true apparantly

Yes I bought this a while back too, if we didn't know it to be a true story you would just think it was too far fetched!

Well flame and citron... Lets just say it's based on real events and not totally going up to reality... But thats not what this thread is about :)
