Where’s the link for the film?
In the summer of '09 I was given a sneak preview disc of a short film that was being entered into a local film festival here in Ireland also entitled “The Letter”, and also set in ww2 but made in eastern Europe. This particular short film focused on the red army on the eastern front and to cut a long story short it entailed a Russian soldier writing a letter to his wife testing her loyalty by lying and telling her that he had lost both his legs.
Ring a bell?

Different film entirely as not same plot at all. This movie takes ages to download then refuses to 'play' so I watched it as a series of still images, moving the slider along the bottom... as far as I can tell it looks pretty good actually!
I've got latest version of Firefox so it should play any embedded video.... but not this one?

Worked fine for me.
Production value - tip top. Whoevers getting marked for this freshman project will not doubt be getting a good grade.
From a story-line / realism point of view - not to my taste/notion of realism. Sorry.

Well done, I like it although what's with the snow at the end? The guy get's shot in a green field and then ends up dying in a field full of snow?

If you notice, it begins snowing when the sniper takes the shot, It was snowing kind of heavily and they didn't get to the final shot until after the snow had accumulated.
