I just found this Photo on google and would like to know a bit more

Not alot to say about them really, the Japanese did have a number of ski units, although they were often featured in propaganda material im not aware of any actual combat role during the war.
There ski's came in a couple of lengths, both short and long ski's were issued and they were made of natural coloured wood and there ski poles were bamboo.
