Shooting Lanyard Shields

Post by pzrwest »

Well I managed to aquired(on loan that is) a shield for the shooting lanyard for grades 1-4. I have molded it and have cast and painted a test one here are the results. The repro on the left appears larger but is due to the extra length of the securing pins. Here are the pics take a look. Repro one left original on the right

shields

Thanks for the comment. I'm thinking I may start making them and sell them. I don't know if anyone makes repro shields or not. But these would be a great way to convert the East German shooting lanyards to ww2 lanyards. Does anyone know if there is a supplier of repro shields or lanyards with the ww2 shield on them? I was thinking of a price around $5.00US plus shipping does this sound reasonable?
