Yeah, just don't know if they'll make it where I am... don't know how it is there, but it seems some of these type films never make it here. I never saw "Charlotte Gray" for example because it never made it this far south so I don't even know if it's any good. Of course everything goes on DVD eventually, but there's something still exciting about seeing a film in a theatre.

i think napola is being called "after the fall " in the usa kel... it never came out in the pics here. after downfall its only the 2nd war film to be made in modern times.. it got a lot of publicity in germany because of this. actually they are making just now a film about the retreat from the russians in ost prussia, it'll come out as a tv special next year in germany.. it'll make dvd but not the cinema i think...

being half german and thanks to satelite tv i am able to watch every german tv channel also, in fact i prefer german tv most times.

That's why I find them so interesting!! So rare a production! Well, maybe I will be able to catch both of them on DVD after a bit of time. I will keep an eye open for "After the Fall" though.. just in case it makes it on the cinema screens here.
Interesting the ost prussia one.. was just watching a travel show two days ago and they were talking a lot about the russian influences, etc that are still there. That would also be an interesting film to see.
No satelite for me unfortunately as I think I would prefer foreign programming to our own!! (already do what little I do get)

it's called "flucht und vertreibung". its a 2 part drama being filmed in lithuania in -15 degree weather by ARD. €9 million its costing to make also...
