He was captured by the Brittish or Canadians at Normandy and eventually ended up in the States. At one point he even appeared in a Broadway show. He spoke excellent English due to the fact he had worked with an American Circus before the war. After the initial article there was a follow up article about where he went and what became of him. He was 7'4"

I remember a photo that was posted on the forum some time ago showing two soldiers stood next to each other. One was incredibly tall next to the other. Most people thought it had to be a fake. Maybe it was this guy.

What a big lanky looking streak of piss :lol: No wonder the circus mopped him up, presumably as a freak.
I'll bet his 4 man zelt was rarely used as regulations stated... :lol:
