However just want to know what type of Pistol it was
P-38 or Luger
Also soft or hard shell Holster?

I think you mean they carried a pistol for self defence if necessary.VonSchnitzel wrote:I know the Medics only carried a Pistol for Mercy Killing
Re: Weapon for the Medic
look at michaelh sanitaeter pics on this section , there are a couple of differeing hard\softshell
timeline and rank would obviously dictate what pistols were available.
and yes its geneva convention material regarding pistols and medics not an alternative to analgesia or euthanasia
a lot of what was carried (if at all)and where does have a lot to do withyour impression

Just the basic Medic EM
European Theatre
Is it a must to have a white helmet?
I have seen a few medics with a m43 cap

Re: Weapon for the Medic
IIRC the practice of carrying weapons on the western front soon stopped when it became apparent that the Allies weren't as roofless as the Russians.
A helmet is standard issue, if you're doing a front line impression I doubt you'd be on the front with bullets and shrapnel and other nasties buzzing about without a steel helmet. How it's marked will come down to research/your portrayal.

Re: Weapon for the Medic
German medical services book provided pistol as standard for a medic and stretcher barerer.
