End of August 1944: after the collapse of the front in France, a German unit is retreating towards Belgium.
Troop movements are a common sight throughout the day, from regular soldiers on foot or on bike
Over trucks and all other sorts of vehicles
Signs of various units try to create a bit of structure in the chaos.

The Allied air supremacy also didnt help to improve the German moral. The once mighty Luftwaffe was nowhere to be seen and enemy fighters were constantly harassing the German troop movements.

Another threat were the resistance groups. Once they saw the liberation was imminent, many groups took up arms.
