New To Site Kompanie 1 Events organiser

Post by Stuart Humphrey »

Hello to you all.

I have been re-enacting now for around 4/5 years and got into this by starting writing a book on my dear old Grandpa and Great Uncles.

You go to a few displays and before you know it you have sold your wife and kids to finance your hobby!

I am part of the 12th SS, although well past my milk and sweets rationing!

Times move on though and I am now the Events Co-Ordinator for Kompanie 1, who I joined all those years back.

It's good to be part of a forum that discusses every aspect to this hobby 24/7 and I have already learned some excellent facts here, as they say, every day is a school day.

If you do know of an event, or hear rumours that one is being set up, please, please, please do let me know.

Our group as most of you probably know not only re-enacts 12th SS but also

Fallschirmjager Regt 3
Panzer Lehr Regt 902
US 508th. 82nd Airborne
Royal Norfolks. Able Co
6th Airborne Div. 22nd Ind co

Hopefully this means that all or part of our group can attend every event in the country - runes usually permitting of course.

I have seen some excellent changes to our hobby over the years, and most noticeably just how much pride every group takes in presenting a true replica of the fighting man/woman of WW2.

It's great to have a forum like this, saves boring the wife with repeats on the documentary channels!!!

Be good to get to know all of you.

Hi Stu. Good to see you here. Bizarrely enough, Dutchy's turned up on the "other" forum. Do let him know where the "dark side" hangs out.

Great to hear from Mairtin, I am glad you enjoyed yourselves, always willing to reciprocate your excellent hospitality our group experianced earlier this year?

Have you made plans for 2007 yet?

Hello Scott.

As for you young Tim, how are you, like the pic, where did you steal that uniform from? Got the cheque ok, so please say an extended thank you to Bee, no worries.

Can one safely assume that we will be able to find you in 2007 at the Tiger 1 camp?

Hallo, Another Heeder clone eh? Well that depends which way you put your luger back together?

I'll have to direct our European cousin in the warm safe place he belongs.

Good to make contact young man.

So you have had dealings with Kompanie 1 in the past then?
