I just recently deleted the "118" thread about Hitler's birthday. Sorry to anyone who put in thoughtful and reasoned posts there but it just had to go. I know it was posted in a tongue in cheek way, but I can see it being offensive to a lot of people, and possibly bring this forum/our hobby into disrepute.

As we all know, any perceived link between wwii reenactment and actual nazis hurts our hobby. Various members of this forum are doing a great PR job to put it on the right footing, and anything jeopardizing that has got to be rubbed out.

References to Hitler and National Socialism are to be handled sensitively and maturely. Obviously this is a forum whose basis is in the era that makes these things impossible to ignore, but it should be done from the basis of historical research and context. Sensible stuff, huh?

Anything that resembles, even jokingly, neo-nazi material or references will be removed.

Sorry for the rant, I hate deleting stuff. Please ensure I don't have to!

why would anyone put a such a post on here anyway after all the c*** we went through with a certain individual at belters a couple of years ago go on give the t***** some more ammo to make another so called expose about us so well done on deleting thread
