Re: Tunic question
It looks like a standard M36. There is a tremendous amount of variation in the colours of M36 uniforms anyway, in the Army museum in Hameenlinna there are about a dozen and none of them are exactly the same shade. I put it down to no factory in Finland having the capacity to produce all of the cloth necessary for the army's uniforms.
Re: Tunic question
Hei!
I have a question, how you design the finnish gray? Stone grey, pale grey, or is it closer to the swiss gray?
I ack that because I would like to make a reproduction of this uniform.
Thanks in advance
Stefan

Re: Tunic question
If you have access to FS595, the colour chip chart used by the US military, FS35237 gives the closest match, at least to my example, although it must be stressed that you will struggle to find two tunics the same exact colour.

Re: Tunic question
You won't find correct material for a summer M36. It hasn't been made since the war and is the holy grail of Finnish reenactment. It is similar to the kind of cloth that jeans are made from, but obviously is a different colour.
Please note the messages above - there is a great deal of variation in uniform colour. The cloth was manufactured in a lot of small factories, all of which supplied a slightly diiferent colour. Within the context of the link you sent, three or four of the greys would be suitable for an M36 uniform. If you have the Asepukuu M36, just choose the closest match, I assure you it will look correct when finished.
