Herr Peiper
Do you remember where those photos of massacred SS troops and the report might be found?
Thanks,
Cassius

Re: Norwegian SS Bodies Found
My Musings from looking at the pictures? The trenchline is in the typical German pattern, but it appears to be low on the hil? "On the left the remains of a Russian soldier identified as Romanov Vasily Dmitreevich." I wonder what unit. "Below, remains of Russian casualties of the atta...

Re: Battalion 500
Thank You Schnell Meyer, I have read Grenadier many times. Panzer Meyer was a man who understood daring assaults of the type advocated by General Steiner. His attacks with his Motorcycle Battalion are most instructive and I wish I could find more about his military operations. I know some things, bu...

Herr Repper,
Your posts are good.
Especially your translations of Finnish and German documents.
Such material interests me greatly.
When I was on the Finnish site, I did not find any material on Finnish tactics.
Thank You,
Cassius

If Herr Kruger wanted to work in Hollywood, he would have to make several such symbolic gestures as well as frequent testimony of distaste towards the Waffen SS, Nicht War?
The SS Niebelunger Division was the one formed by Bad Tolz. That is a very interesting story.

Re: Norwegian SS Bodies Found
Is there a topographical map of the area where the bodies were found? If there any military importance to the area? Could they have been transported to the site, like at Katyn? I know of similar sites that the media would not mention because it implicated the Soviets in mass murder. I wonder why the...

Herr Peiper,
We agree Kameraden.
I would like to visit there and see if they were murdered.
That story about what happened to them and what happened there will not be forgotten by me.
If you run across any facts, please let me know.
Thanks,
Cassius

Re: Norwegian SS Bodies Found
I noticed that someone blamed Adolph Hitler for the fact that some German troops were abandoned, somewhere? Do such critics think that Hitler was a God, hovering in the sky over thousand of battlefields simultaneously, dealing with 700 division sized ground combat units (and also all the units of th...

Sorry,
I put my questions under the wrong heading.
RE: Bad Tolz
Did not the last commander of Bad Tolz become the commander of a Waffen SS mini-division composed of the personnel of Bad Tolz and others?

Re: 17th Luftwaffe Field Division
Interesting. I am looking fir detailed OOBs or TO&Es of several Luftwaffe Field Divisions. I want to compare their firepower and maneuver elements to typical German infantry divisions because I am wondering if Luftwaffe IDs were more like brigades than divisions. Any one have any info on this to...
