A question for any DAK experts out there,
How common, if at all would it have been for DAK pionieres to have a black soutache on thier field caps?

Re: DAK Soutache
There is an example in Robert Kurtz book on Afrika Korps uniforms, dated 1940 and states it as rare. After 1942 the soutache was ordered removed from caps and later caps were manufactured with out it.
