It's nice to see that picture, I've neve seen it before! He also wears Army instead of Fallschirmjäger ammopouches.

Interesting photo. Isn't he wearing Gebirgsjäger boots and puttees too?

Yes, but that's normal for a SS-Fallschirmjäger. They wore a mix of GJ boots and 2nd patern FJ stiefel.

I also notice that he wears infantry Y-straps and not Fallschirmjäger Y-straps.
