After reading some of the comments on "aging"...I've decided to try my hand at it. My original post is on page 8 wherein my helmets were freshly painted. I rubbed, scrubbed, scratched, bumped, and generally just wore them for a while with hardly any tender care involved. Here's what they look like now...

Now they look like they may have gone through a battle or two and look to be a year or two old ...I just don't want them to look 65 years old.

No doubt about it, there's solme talented people out there, these look great...well done....That level of detail is something to really aspire to.....I take my helm (rather poorly painted by comparison too) off to you.

First helmet purchased 10 years ago, but usually covered with a helmet cover unless at a Normandy event. ET66 Pattern and colors supposedly copied from an original helmet.

Recently purchased helmet for early war events from Jacob Caputo. Quist M35 with reissue overpaint over apple green.
