Looking for German re-enactors for documentary film

Post by Suuntoce »

Hi everyone!

My name is Ziga Virc, I'm a film-director from Slovenia. I've been interested in WW2 re-enactments for some time and in 2009 made an oscar-nominated short film "Trieste is ours!" (link: http://youtu.be/k_pV_XKO4r0 ). At that film I cooperated with my friends - Slovenian group "Triglav", whose members re-enact 2WW battles.

We have an idea about new 52-min documentary film, which main topic would be WW2 battle re-enacting. Story of the film would begin in Germany, then we will invite involved re-enactors to Slovenia to a final battle (organized by group Triglav) and cover some expenses.
Here's how the battle looked like in 2009: http://youtu.be/xVCu4TBg-hM and 2011: http://youtu.be/ayJ2nCOevYA

So - we are looking for German re-enactors.

We feel the time is right to look at the history from the same point as you're doing - without politics. And hopefully, have some fun while making a documentary film!

This documentary film is already a confirmed Slovenian - German coproduction, which makes it a "serious" film, aimed at broadcasting. Film will be made in German language.

So, if you are group / individual 2WW re-enactor/s from Germany who wish to take part in documentary film and attend the battle in Slovenia, let me know here on forum or by sending private message. And don't hesitate to ask further questions.

Regards,
Ziga Virc
