New German TV Mini-series "Unsere mutter, unsere vatter"

The German TV channel ZDF broadcast a new TV series in mid-March. It was entitled "Unsere mütter Unsere väter", (our mother, our father). It relates the story of five friends during the Second World War and their various experiences. The battle scenes are spectacular. They rival Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers.

The series runs for 270 minutes or three 90 minute episodes. It's now available on DVD from http://www.amazon.de for €16.99. However, it's unclear if the DVD has English subtitles.

Under the comments section, an owner of the DVD says it has NO subtitles, not even German.
Would love to see a release with subtitles, would purchase it right away.. fantastic film.

If you google 'Unsere mutter, unsere vatter eng subs' you should find some srt files (subtitle files)people have written, download them to your PC. You can then play the video from youtube with the subtitles using advanced file opening (load subtitle, load the srt file you downloaded)>Network (paste the url of the youtube clip) VLC player. It should now play on your pc with english subtitles.

This worked for me. Don't blame me if goes wrong .
