Thanks Franz for starting off this new section. Look forward to posts from others on KM war time or re-enacting. If anyone has questions reguarding the Kriegsmarine feel free to ask away.
A reminder please try to stay on topic in the threads will make a MOD's job alot easier

A quality site from Spain and one from the far east.

The Monsson boats are often over looked and behind the propaganda images the relationship between the Germans and teh Japanese was at times a little uneasy and co operation was not always forthcoming , the German creews occasionally being caught up between the inter service rivalary which existed between the IJN and IJA.
( The Japanese themselves having their own racist views towards "Westerners" , it is ironic that this being so much a propaganda platform for the Japanese that they had to dismantle it in the ports used by the Kriegsmarine , something of a contradiction when westerners appear as an a friend and helper).
