I didn't want to post this as a link alone because contents wise it is much more than that so I hope Justin will excuse my posting this as a link alone.
The gent who posted this thread on Wehrmacht Awards has an extensive collection of items relating to Teddy Wisch , given the stature of the man I hope folks will find this interesting.

Re: TeddyWisch.
The post is fine James , sadly the Family of Teddy Wisch sold off all his belongings after he passed away . He was the second CO of the LAH .I met him in 1990 in Germany , in due course I will try and dig out some photos of Teddy .
Re: TeddyWisch.
Cheers - thought it might spark something on the man or his division.
Sad when his estate gets broken up , only good thing is it generally ends up in safe hands be they spread across the world.
Quite a man.

Some more of the many Berghof visitors ... on the left, officers of the 1st SS Panzer Corps visit the Berghof ca. April 1944. From left-right: SS-Brigadeführer Theodor "Teddy" Wisch (commander, 1st SS Panzer Division LSSAH), SS-Obersturmbannführer Max Wünsche (commander, SS-Panzerregiment 12), SS-Obergruppenführer Josef "Sepp" Dietrich (Corps commander), SS-Oberführer Fritz Witt (commander, 12th SS Panzer Division HJ) - all holders of the Ritterkreuz - Knights Cross of the Iron Cross.

Re: TeddyWisch.
Here are some signed photos that I got from Teddy Wisch in 1992 when I met him in Germany at the 1 Pz.Korps reunion , he was a fine soldier and gentleman .
Re: TeddyWisch.
Good ones
Was the sketch signed on the postcard by Willrich ?
The SS cards by him are impossible to buy - megga money when you consider it is just a postcard.
The top photo - was that taken for SD's birthday - there is a much used group photo taken in similar surroundings.
For me half the delight in seeing photos are the ones taken at the same time which don't surface too often .
Publishers tend to take the lazy route and unless authors take a close interst in the finished product or see the photos used as more than mere padding the results can be disappointing.
Nice photos.

Here is the complete photo taken on 28 May 1943 for Sepp Dietrich's birthday . Note all the Waffen SS , Divisional , Battalion and Regimental commanders . This for me is one of the best LAH photos of all times.

Re: TeddyWisch.
SchnellMeyer - Great photos there, do you happen to know who the Luftwaffe officer is (very back row, second from right) Or why he has been asked to be part of the photograph?
Am i right in assuming a liaison between the LAH and Luftwaffe or am i looking to deep into it?
