OI! I'm bidding on those!!!!!

Seriously - They are Austrian Rucksack Straps which have been taken off and adapted using a ring and a back strap.

I am using a pair this weekend on my late pattern rucksack. You can tell becuase the A Frame rings have an extra square buckle on them - and the grey cotton padding on the underside is thick... When removed it leaves big stitch holes in the leather.

Definitely Fakey Fakey Heart!

Go on Jon - Ask him a question you know you want to!!!!

What looks like a section 1 firearm, smells like a section 1 firearm and gets you 5 years of porridge?

Stick it on a live weapon, and you have a section 5 firearm!

Good innit...? "Hello, Garda...?"

UK deactivation standards for rifle grenade launchers are that the launcher tube is permanantly welded to the muzzle adaptor, there should be 2 bars instered through the launcher tube at 90 degrees to one another and the hole in the muzzle adaptor should also be permanantly blocked.

Nice item, but I'd leave it well alone.

He has said in the listing that the item is incapable of discharging a projectile; it could be it's legal in Eire. I don't know what their deactivation standards are, however - could any of our Celtic bretheren advise at all?

I have seen loads for sale and none have been deacted
also the nades for it should all be inert and impossible to find live
I say lucky sod and i would have it if it wernt too much

Not quite Adam, a rifle grenade launcher is a specified prohibited weapon under section 5(1) of the Firearms Act 1968 (as amended). It also conforms to the defintion of a firearm given in section 57 of the same act. Whether the ammunition for it is unavailable or inert is irrelevant in the letter of the law.

At Beltring a few years ago, a large number of cup dischargers and rifle grenade launchers were siezed and destroyed as they were not inter.
