Re: newspapers
I don't think anyone bothers with repro newsprint because the paper's cheap enough and they can't sell it for the profit they'd like. Unlike paybooks and other documents. I looked into this a while ago and I got a small local newspaper to agree to printing copies of papers I had which I gave around to people, but the cost wasn't really worth it, you can get authentic ww2 newsprinted stuff on Ebay easily.

The thing is, I don't like destroying original newspapers as a journalist and collector.
We use repro Dutch newspapers from the "Oorlogskranten" serie when we do events set in the Netherlands (ripping them up, peeling potatoes over them and what not).
How much did you pay for printing those newspapers and where? I can't find a single company in the Netherlands willing to do small quantities (100 or so).

Re: newspapers
It was a Scottish printer and as far as I can remember it was about £50 all in, not sure if they marked up the price of the ink or what, but I only got about 25 copies, well a couple more but they weren't easily readable.
I don't know if this is a monetary factor, but the paper I had done was what we call a tabloid size one, Daily Mail, Daily Express, not a broadsheet.

Re: newspapers
Could you not just reproduce the outer sheet (fornt and back page) and then put it over a modern newsapaper? For £50 you would then get 25 x however many pages were in there say 10 = 250 repro newspapers.

You are.
Why don't we just staple paper together and attach a Soldbuch cover to it.

I hope the question is still acute?
German publisher "Zeitungszeugen" made lots of reprints of German newspapers from 1933 to 1946. You can find them from ebay.de:
