I'm in the market for a decent wool Officer tunic. Size 42R (US). Insignia not an issue.
I've tried contacting RAU about it etc to find out he's not interested. I don't mind lightly used either.
Regards,
Frank

Re: Officer Tunic 42R
Practically all officer's uniforms were tailor modified / made for the best and a proud fit. What I hate most about officer's impressions are ones which are half-baked uniform, which does not highlight the status of an officer: long arms, broader shoulders, bad fit. I would suggest you pay attention to these important details if you're proud about your impression
It's best to find someone who can help you with the right measurements, right off the bat. If you want some help in this regard, pm me.

Re: Officer Tunic 42R
Thank you for the advice. I've done several officer impressions before. All custom tailored. It's just this will be the first combat officer impression and I'd like a wool officer tunic as opposed to the Gabardine tunics.
I've had officer impressions with a "rise and fall" collar added to an enlisted M36 tunic, gabardine officer tunics tailor made etc. I'm aware of the reenactorisms that plague the impression. I won't be repeating others mistakes with the impression lol.
Hessen doesn't have any wool tunics in stock, Gavin I'm gonna avoid, RAU is refusing to make anything new.
So if anyone has a slightly used wool officer tunic in my size please let me know!

Union-militaria would be your best bet for a custom tunic, very nice stuff at a good price.
What's your ballpark?

Re: Officer Tunic 42R
Thank you Ulrich for the recommendation. But I had a bad experience with Union. I'm not a cheap arse, but I am not gonna drop $1000+ on a texled one from ATF.
I'm wondering if just converting an M42 to take a rise and fall collar would be more interesting.

1000+? Or maybe I misunderstood you.
An officer's tunic from union is only $230 for the custom made one:

comes in wool as well.

No No, As I said, I don't want to spend $1000.00 on a Texled tunic from At the front.
I had a bad experience with union and I'd like to avoid business with them.
