Paul, although I can't comment on the impression in the pic, as it's not clear what cuff title is being worn, SS-Helferinnen wore specialized insignia; such as the 'Reichsschule-SS' cuff title and brest runes. I have good photo references in the 3rd vol of M.D. Beavers' (no pun intended  ) 'Uniforms of the Waffen-SS' vol 3. Cheers.

Cheers Steve I also have those volumes - I'll check it out as I haven't really swotted up on Helferinnen - I like to expand my knowledge base - I'll also split this off so as not to clutter a potentially good and entertaining thread.

And here is a good explanation of who would wear a cufftitle.... Fascinating.

dink wrote:Off top of my head I can't think which did wear cufftitles and which didn't  is that what you mean? so using a book to note them ;) Kriegsmarine had their own helferin ones (marinehelferin), reichs frauenschaft did (reichsfrauenschaft), reichsschule (reichsschule-ss), zollhelferin (same as male though it doesn't say it was common place), wirtschaftshelferin (wirtschaftsheferin/des heeres), nacchrichtenhelferin (NH des heers, Stab des NH, )

How accurate that is I don't know, I have seen lots of pics with cuff titles in but sometimes they hard to read ;). I've only ever seen the marinehelferin ones at collecters fairs and the above info is from the osprey book if anyones interested ....
